Week in the Life: Wednesday
Last night was very busy, so this post is up a little later than usual! But I'm still liking the project. It's fun to keep track of this stuff and I'm sure it'll be very interesting to me to look back on these posts and my album in the future!
I was sent an email that someone had commented on yesterday's post asking about what I'm capturing photos with. I can't find the comment now, but I'll answer the question anyway! I'm using my iPhone 4S (8 megapixel camera) exclusively to take photos. I take photos with the stock Camera app and run most of them through Instagram.
12 AM-still awake watching the Barbra Streisand marathon on TCM; found out that Cassidy also didn't win HoHA; planned a cookie dough night for after the GA tomorrow to commiserate; uploaded photos to blog about Tuesday
1 AM-went to bed
8:09 AM-woke up
8 AM-hung around in bed for awhile; opened the window to snap a photo of the sky before I turned on the light; got up and ate breakfast; read blogs
9 AM-started getting dressed and ready for class at 10; had Don't Rain on my Parade stuck in my head
10 AM-History class! Had a hard time paying attention today; no class on Friday, though!
11 AM-lunch with Ryan; we argued about whether or not Barbra Streisand is pretty/talented (she is both, Ryan is wrong)
12 PM-English class; more Macbeth; argh
1 PM-English class until 1:20; sat in the hallway outside of Italian and did homework until class started
2 PM-Italian class! Learned about Sicily
3 PM-checked the mail (nothing, sadly); went to Ryan's to get 90's clothes for the GA tonight; went back to my room and bumped into Cassidy outside
4 PM-went to Sack and Save with Cassidy and Jordan for groceries and dinner; went back to Honors and found Nathan but discovered we couldn't use the kitchen due to an induction ceremony going on; formulated plan B
5 PM-went to Nathan's room and cooked taquitos in the toaster oven, along with beans, queso, chips, and salsa; ate dinner and hung out
6 PM-kept hanging out and eating; listened to various 90s/early 2000s songs and danced around; cleaned up and went back to our room to relax and find an outfit for Cassidy
7 PM-acquired a hot glue gun so I could make some accordion flowers (yay!); made some accordion flowers for my sunset layout
8 PM-kept working on that layout while listening to Glee on Spotify (I love Spotify)
9 PM-kept working on the layout (having trouble finishing off the accordion flower); got dressed in my 90s outfit and went down to the GA with Cassidy; left as soon as it was over
10 PM-went back upstairs to the study room; joined by Jordan; talked about a bunch of random stuff
11 PM-kept hanging out in the study room; joined by Danielle
12 AM-Cassidy left with Joe so she could study without distractions; went to my room to change into my pajamas; got distracted by my scrapbook layout and stopped to work on that for a bit; went back to the study room

Week in the Life: Tuesday
12 AM-finished one card for Monday's card layout; uploaded photos to the computer; edited and blogged Monday's photos
1 AM-finished blogging and whatnot; turned on Seinfeld; went to bed at 1:40
8 AM-woke up at 8:00 on the dot, an hour late because my alarm didn't go off; took a quick but relaxing shower; got dressed and ready to go; browsed the Internet
9 AM-packed up my backpack and went downstairs to meet Ryan at 9:10; got to class at 9:22 (Environmental Science lecture!)
10 AM-class ended early; went to the Union and browsed Cracked.com for awhile; got hungry and annoyed at the fact that I have class at 11 when I usually have lunch at 11; headed to class at 10:50; passed the turtle pond and thought about how I needed to take a photo of it for WitL
11 AM-sat down in class right on time; hoped the turtles would be out when I left so I could take a good photo; found out I won't have this class on Thursday (meaning my Thursday will start at 2 PM!)
12 PM-stayed in Philosophy until 12:20; walked to Bruce where I ate alone and read Soul of a Chef until Nathan joined me around 12:45; talked about random things, as usual
1 PM-walked with Nathan to Honors to get his Scholars Day poster; walked to class with him; discussed why we want to go to Free Press Summer Fest and why things that aren't free shouldn't have "free" in their name; got to class around 1:50
2 PM-Italian class! Ryan said we could go to Michaels later (yay!)
3 PM-got back to my room to relax until dinner; did some planning sketches for yesterday's WitL pages
4 PM-continued working on WitL pages for Monday; played with Photoshop
5 PM-left for dinner at Victory with Ryan and Austin; ate some good food there
6 PM-headed from Victory to Michaels, where I bought a Martha Stewart Scoring Board on sale/with a coupon for only $11! Went home and found out that I did not win the HoHA election (I ran for secretary); cried for a few minutes; started a YouTube video where I left off (a flip-through of a Disney PL album...do jealous!)
7 PM-played with my Scoring Board a little; watched some Project Life flips on YouTube; broke out my tablet to design some journal cards
8 PM-still on the computer (I don't do much in the evenings); work on my WitL a little; read an article on Yahoo about Barbra Streisand; made an envelope for practice
9 PM-looked for something on TV to watch and coincidentally found Funny Girl on at 9:15; decided to try scrapping my first 12x12 layout (a photo of a pretty sunset)
10 PM-kept working on the layout (this is hard!)
11 PM-kept watching Funny Girl (which is a great movie!); had a small snack; started getting ready for bed; found out that apparently it's Barbra's birthday, hence the marathon of her films on TCM (no complaints! I loved Funny Girl)
I love this project so far! It's been a lot of fun so far. Two days down!
xoxo

Scrap!
Last Friday, I took a trip down to the Denton Courthouse Square, which is an awesome little place full of fun local shops and restaurants. I went with a few friends, and at the end of the trip, I finally got to go into a place I'd been wanting to explore since I first discovered it on my Square adventure with Natalie.
It's a place called Scrap, and it's pretty much a Goodwill, but for craft and art supplies! It was full of fun stuff from vintage sewing patterns to yarn to old National Geographics to scrapbook paper to poster board. I didn't want to just buy up a bunch of stuff for no reason, so without any specific projects in mind, I just picked up a few packets of sequins, which are getting more popular on paper projects these days.
And then, right before we went to check out, I came across this awesome jar! (And I carried my sequins home in it!)
When I got home, I cleaned it off...
And filled it with washi tape!
Even though I don't have much (maybe about 15 rolls), they still filled up the jar pretty much, so I decided to use this container just for the rolls I use the most. I'm going to put the others in one of my craft drawers (which I plan on sharing soon). That way I'll have the ones I use often right there on my desk to grab when I'm working on a project! I'm so excited about it. I can't wait to go back to Scrap and explore some more!
xoxo

P.S. Remember this card that I made (with washi tape!) for a challenge on Two Peas? Well, I won! I'm so happy. I can't wait to spend that gift certificate!
